چکیده

This paper discusses the finite-rate feedback-based ZF for multiuser MIMO in case of small number of candidate users to be selected and small number of quantization bits to be fed back. In this case, the multiplexing gain from ZF is limited. Under the assumption of small number of candidate users, then the paper further analyzes throughput of ZF with different number of co-scheduled users. From the analysis, the throughput of ZF is limited by the loss of target signal power and the residual interference from the co-scheduled users. The loss of target signal power comes from the steered precoder by ZF operation. From the simulation for theoretical throughput and throughput from Monte Carlo methods, we have some conclusions, for finite-rate feedback-base ZF multiuser MIMO with the small number of quantization bits, the ZF beamforming gain that is significant for perfect CSIT based ZF disappears, and the throughput for small value of co-scheduled users may be larger than the throughput for large value of co-scheduled users.

Progressive Refinement of Beamforming Vectors for High-Resolution Limited Feedback

Limited feedback enables the practical use of channel state information in multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communication systems. Using the limited feedback concept, channel state information at the receiver is quantized by choosing a representative element from a codebook known to both the receiver and transmitter. Unfortunately, achieving the high resolution required ...

Exploiting Multiuser Diversity in MIMO Broadcast Channels with Limited Feedback

We consider a multiple antenna broadcast channel in which a base station equipped with M transmit antennas communicates with K ≥ M single-antenna receivers. Each receiver has perfect channel state information (CSI), whereas the transmitter has partial channel knowledge obtained via a limited rate feedback channel. Built upon multiuser interference bounds, we propose scalar feedback metrics that...

In recent years, MIMO techniques that employ transmit beamforming h...

Full-Duplex Relay Based on Zero-Forcing Beamforming

In this paper, we propose a full-duplex relay (FDR) based on a zero-forcing beamforming (ZFBF) for a multiuser MIMO relay system. The ZFBF is employed at the base station to suppress both the self-interference of the relay and the multiuser interference at the same time. Numerical results show that the proposed FDR can enhance the sum rate performance as compared to the half-duplex relay (HDR),...

A Hybrid Approach to Spatial Multiplexing in Multiuser MIMO Downlinks

In the downlink of a multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication system, simultaneous transmission to several users requires joint optimization of the transmitted signals. Allowing all users to have multiple antennas adds an additional degree of complexity to the problem. In this paper, we examine the case where a single base station transmits tomultiple users using linear pro...
